Today's Tarot Card: King of Pentacles
When it comes to the tarot, both the Kings and Queens are in a distinct position of representing either a person, or an event, or qualities of a person (instead of an actual person). When representing an event, the King of Pentacles combines the monetary energies of the pentacles with the leadership qualities of the Kings, to bring about the possibilities of employment (or promotion) in a job that mixes both of these aspects (money, leadership) which could mean - for example - manager of a department in a bank or other sort of banking/money business. It can also represent the start up of a business where money is a primary concern (such as money lender) or handling legal matters where money is the initial (or only) interest. If this card shows up in a reading as it relates to a person, typically the King of Pentacles represents an older male who can seem quite grounded and even-tempered, wise and fair, with a good analytical mind. He is conscientious and disciplined and may also feel that others should be just as ordered as he. He may also be quick to pass judgement, especially if you do meet his high expectations. He might hold a position of power and/or influence in either the legal or banking profession, or something that is connected to money and/or legal matters, or - in some cases where the person also is linked to the energies of Cups - may have the duty of overseeing a charitable organization or event. When representing aspects of a person, they may exhibit qualities of the King of Pentacles, however it is not necessarily confined to males.
