Today's Tarot Card: The Hierophant

The Hierophant is about mentors and mentoring, about learning and teaching, about taking in lessons not just from other people but from all that transpires around you in life. In olden times, the Hierophant was typically connected with organized religions so when he shows up in a reading, you are encouraged to take your problems to your Higher Power (however you perceive him/her/it) or possibly with a clergy or elder within your choice of belief. It may also be a time to assess your spiritual, philosophical and psychological beliefs, especially in how it relates to the event(s) at hand, and use those beliefs when it comes to making decisions of action. Keep in mind that whatever decision you make will also carry the responsibility of how it may affect others, especially in how it may influence their "lessons" in life.
